In My Divine Feminine Era…
I had an “ah-ha” moment recently. Somewhere between making decisions for my businesses, loading the dishwasher, providing a third snack for my four-year-old (within 30 minutes), and answering emails, my spirit spoke to me. It didn’t tell me to stop doing chores (which I would have willingly obeyed), it told me to slow down and return to myself.
I sat with that for a second and realized…I didn’t know what returning to myself looked like anymore. I had been in go-mode for so long that doing anything other than making things happen felt foreign. So I marinated on what spirit prompted me to do — sitting still, journaling, googling, listening to music, talking with friends.
And I realized my spirit was calling me to operate in my divine feminine energy….again.
At 44, I have a clearer understanding of what feminine and masculine energy mean to me. It has nothing to do with any patriarchal depiction. For me, masculine energy is about action — making moves, deciding, executing. Feminine energy is about resting and allowing. Being still. Trusting. Attracting rather than chasing. Creating, flowing, nurturing, accepting, setting boundaries, and going slow.
Getting Back to Myself
I’ve been moving so fast, trying to force things into motion, that I forgot I thrive when I trust the seeds I’ve planted and live slowly while they bloom.
When I shifted back into my feminine mode, things began moving in my favor. Not because masculine energy isn’t necessary, it absolutely is in certain areas of my life, but because my nervous system softens when I take my time and nurture my life. The blessings that come from that aren’t just external.
To the women reading this who are tired of holding it all together, you are allowed to soften. You are allowed to move at a pace that honors your nervous system. Operating in your feminine isn’t about doing less; it’s about trusting more. And there is power in that kind of surrender. The kind that restores you from the inside out.
Here’s to reclaiming our feminine energy,
